Join me for the first Writing Your Life workshop of the new year Saturday, February 4th from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the community room of Panera Bread, next to Florida Hospital. Lunch and drinks are included in your registration fee.
This workshop helps you create writing goals for 2017 and provides information on how best to accomplish those intentions. Then, we’ll write. I bring in a variety of prompts, give you five to fifteen minutes to get started writing a memory related to the prompt, and then ask a few volunteers read their responses. What’s great about this type of workshop is that it helps you come up with topics you might not have otherwise thought to write about, and you leave with the beginnings of five to ten stories you can finish at home.
Fee for Write Your Way into 2017 is $55 and includes lunch, instruction, fun, and camaraderie with others who want to write. I only have space for fifteen participants, so sign up early. Panera Bread is located at 2415 N. Orange Avenue in Orlando, on the corner of Orange Avenue and Rollins Street east next to Florida Hospital. Park in the garage on Rollins Street next to Panera’s and bring in your ticket. The manager will validate the ticket, providing you with free parking.
