Call for World War II Stories

October_Newsletter_WarOrdinary Heroes – Voices of History Project

If you write stories that tell about the real side of war, and I know many of you do, I have a pertinent opportunity for you. A colleague of mine at JoHazel Publishing is working to document “stories of wartime life and its aftereffects either experienced or shared from our veterans of World War II and Korean War, in any service branch, male or female.” Stories of any type with a tie in to these two wars are welcomed.

Do you have a story to tell? If so, email a sample first page of your written story to voicesofhistory41@gmail.com with “Voices Submission” in the subject line.

Help preserve the voices of the past. Here is a link to the project flyer with more information.

Thanks for letting us know about this! My grandfather wrote a Korean War memoir and I’ve been thinking about sharing it with other people. This is a good start. :-)

That sounds like a great idea, Rachael. A couple of my clients have submitted stories as well. Good luck.
