Life Writers Declaration of Intent
We want you to take the commitment you made to yourself, your writing dreams, and Life Writers seriously, so please read the Declaration of Intent and consider its promises. After you have done so, sign the form, date it, and have it witnessed by someone who supports your writing desires.
Take a photo of your fully executed Declaration of Intent and post it in the comments section below. I also suggest that you keep the document where you can see it because we’re going to hold you to these standards. Are you impressed with how official this all sounds?

Life Writers Declaration of Intent
I Etya Krichmar ___________________________________________________________________________ agree to be a great Life Writers member.
Here’s what that means:
I agree to be fully present and participate in all Life Writers events unless I have an unavoidable conflict, but I promise to cry a little at not being there.
I agree to turn on my camera because behind my camera is a real person. I want people in this amazing community to see my beautiful face and get to know me. (Note: You do not have to attend with combed hair, face made up, or in your Sunday best.)
I agree to welcome people into conversations and make room for them to share their ideas even though I know everyone wants to hear what I have to say.
I agree to share my thoughts with fellow Life Writers. Even though I may be a little shy, I will push myself and speak up at all events. What I say may be just what someone needs to hear.
I agree to help my fellow members of Life Writers achieve their writing dreams. In so doing, they may include me in the acknowledgments of their books.
I agree to show up regularly on the Life Writers forum to comment, post assignments, ask questions, and respond to my fellow members. It’s a place I enjoy hanging out.
I agree to give my fellow Life Writers members my best and treat them as I wish to be treated, and I like to be treated really well.
I agree to let loose, participate, engage, dance like nobody’s watching, and have fun.
I agree and understand that the more I show up and participate, the more I’ll get out of Life Writers. I believe in magic, but magic hasn’t yet written my book.
Look out, Life Writers, because here I come!

I have no issues with the Declaration other than attaching a picture of it! Sooo far behind the technology curve. I promise, hand on heart, that I have downloaded, printed out, signed and witnessed the document, just in case my attempt to attach it doesn’t work. I look forward to this evening’s session. Happy to be here!
Patricia
You got it, Terry. You’re a certified part of the pack now. I’m glad you are a Life Writer.
Sharon Rhyce
I, Sharon Rhyce, will do my personal best to be at the meetings, to be engaged, to be a good listener and participate fully and enthusiastically. I’m blessed that my partner in crime, uh, in life is behind me one hundred per cent! I promise to continue my attitude of gratitude to be among such fine instructors!

I am excited to be a Life Writer. I know that without support, my life would not be worth writing about, so thanks to all of you for your encouragement, as I commit to encourage you all. Love the declaration and have already posted the hard copy in my office so I can read it frequently!
Patricia
I love how all of you have jumped in and made this commitment to yourself and to each other. You will see great benefits resulting from your commitment. Well done!
