On Monday, April 29, I spent a delightful morning with the women of two writing groups, Memories & More from New Smyrna Beach and Writers of the Lost Art from Ormond Beach.
The authors of Memories & More have been writing together for more than fifteen years. They meet once a month to write, discuss their writing, and encourage each other in their projects. Several years back an offshoot of this group, Writers of the Lost Art, organized in Ormond Beach and have been going strong ever since. All understand and appreciate the importance of writing their personal and family histories and have written many stories to that end.
After spending the morning talking about writing and their projects, we enjoyed a delicious lunch of salads of all varieties provided by the members.

Thank you so much for today. I really feel recharged and
re-dedicated to get down to writing seriously. Several of the ideas/points
you presented were just what I needed. I liked the notebook with dividers
for sorting and keeping organized. Also thought good the idea that “how to
structure and connect” all my stories will just work itself out. We’ll
see…Thank you again for a stimulating morning!

I wanted to thank you and tell you how much I enjoyed your program today!
It was very supportive and inspiring for us new writers. I look forward to doing
a full day workshop in the future and reading your book. Many thanks.
