You may think you have to have great adventures or world-changing contributions to write your life story, but you don’t. Every story deserves to be written and represents a significant thread in the tapestry of life. Usually, I find the people who are quick to say they lived ordinary lives and have nothing to write about are the ones with the most amazing stories.
Do you have a story to tell? Do you want to let your children and grandchildren know what life was like for you growing up? Would you like to leave a legacy as a precious gift to those who come after you? Do you believe your experiences would help others facing difficult challenges? If you answer yes to any of these questions, seriously consider writing your life story.
One of the first questions I always receive is: How much does it cost for your help to write my story? As you might expect, the cost varies depending upon the type of help you need, e.g., basic editing for grammar/punctuation, editing to fully develop your stories, coaching to walk you through the process—start to finish, interviewing and writing the story for you, and so forth.
Like writing, editing is a labor-intensive process, so expect to pay more than a trip to Costco but less than a brand new Volkswagen Beetle. Figure the cost of a super nice family vacation, and you’ll be in the ballpark.
If you want to take the story that is in your heart and turn it into a book you can hold in your hands, email me at patricia@writingyourlife.org, and let’s talk about how we can make that happen. For the last seventeen years, I’ve assisted many people in bringing their stories to life on the page, and I’d love to help you do the same.

Hi Patricia,
Years ago I attended your workshop when I was going through breast cancer treatment. I have written nothing. Always wanted to but nothing. I have attended classes, workshops, seminars, etc and I talk a good game but can’t write a thing.
Before I quite thinking about trying I’m willing to see what it takes to work with you. Please let me know when would be a good time to meet with you to discuss this. Thank you.
Best Regards,
