I have so enjoyed the first two sessions of Writing in the Galleries, a program at Orlando Museum of Art with my friend and mentor Lezlie Laws.
I’ve enjoyed them so much, in fact, that I’ll be teaching my own series of four sessions in the fall called Art as a Pathway to Memory, tentatively scheduled for September 15 and 29th, October 13th and 27th from 10:00 a.m. – noon.
Join me as we mine art for memories and look at art with an eye for story. The galleries are such a remarkable local resource. Let’s use that resource to learn how to write about people, places, and things. Let’s infuse your writing with color and detail, using all of your senses.
This program is still in the planning stages, and OMA will likely open registration at the end of March. I wanted to give you advance notice about this fun event, so you can mark those dates on your calendar now.
If you can’t wait to start writing in the galleries, you can still join Lezlie Saturday, March 24th or April 21st.
Each individual session is just $25. To register for one of those, please click here.
