Welcome to the new digs of Writing Your Life! What do you think? The web site has been revamped in a way that will provide you easier access to more information. Slide down the right-hand side of the screen to follow Writing Your Life on Facebook and Linked In, order your own copy of Eating an Elephant: Write Your Life One Bite at a Time; enter your email address is you’d like to receive notices of blog posts, upcoming workshops, community literary events and what not; and get a quick look at the Writing Your Life calendar.
We love to hear from you, so on every page, you’ll find a Speak Your Mind section where you can let us know what you think about the content, what you’d like to learn more about, what you’ve heard about that would benefit all of us, or if you just want to say hello.

Many of you belong to civic, church and community organizations that bring in speakers on a regular basis. If you think your group members might enjoy a lively, entertaining presentation about preserving their personal and family histories, check out the Speaking Out page. There you’ll find some of the Writing Your Life presentation topics and a few of the places we’ve visited.
Writing your life story doesn’t have to be a solitary experience. Check out the I Can Help page that introduces you to the editing, ghostwriting, coaching and publishing services provided by Writing Your Life.
The Calendar page provides a quick view of what’s coming up—classes, workshops, presentations, writing conferences, book festivals and other interesting literary events. Look for the purple labels for literary events, blue for workshops, and green for ongoing classes. Click once on the entry to get the details of who, what, when and where and even connect to a map that shows you the exact location. You can even get directions on how to get there.
Love to Write is where you’ll find the latest Writing Your Life articles. Also, look down the right-hand side at the bottom for an archive of previous submissions.
Take a visual tour of Writing Your Life activities on the Photos page where you can view albums specific to each event. Click on View xx photos to see thumbnails of all the images or choose Slideshow to see them in sequence. You can even slow down, speed up or stop the show for a better look. Directly beneath the photo, you can comment on what you see.
Cruise the stacks of books written by Writing Your Life members on the Bookstore tab where you’ll find volumes to both inform and entertain. Click on the cover of each book to review a summary, read an excerpt and/or purchase your own copy.
