Authors and publishers from across the country came together recently to learn more about all things related to writing, publishing, selling, and promoting their books at the Florida Authors and Publishers Association’s (FAPA) two-day conference in Orlando.
Congratulations to dear friend Bob Lucas for receiving FAPA’s Founder’s Award, given to a long-standing member of FAPA who has published multiple books and made great contributions to both the organization and the community.
Bob also received two silver medals for his book, The Survivor’s Family Guide: A Resource for Loved Ones After Your Passing. Bob is the husband of longtime Writing Your Life class member, M.J. Lucas.
FAPA awarded Charlene L. Edge a gold medal for her stunning memoir, Undertow My Escape from Fundamentalism and Cult Control of The Way International.
Pat Stanford of Tallahassee also brought home a gold medal for Fixing Boo Boo: A Story of Traumatic Brain Injury, an unflinching and touching story about caring for her sister.
Congratulations to all the award winners and to FAPA’s officers and board members for organizing and hosting such a fantastic conference and awards ceremony.
