The Florida Writers Association’s annual conference, The Magic of the Pen, officially begins on Friday, October 19th and runs through Sunday, October 21st. On Friday, Patricia Charpentier, award winning author of Eating an Elephant: Write Your Life One Bite at a Time, presents two workshops on the business and craft of writing.
The first, a morning workshop titled “Make Your Manuscript Shine,” features a variety of free or inexpensive tools and other processes to root out typos, overused words and phrases, redundant sentence structures and a variety of other oversights that dull the shine of your fabulous stories. On Friday afternoon, Patricia focuses on the why and how one can record personal and family history for family, friends and future generations and possibly, the general public.
