Lezlie Laws and her TIA Journal

I’ve often talked about my mentor, Lezlie Laws of LifeArt Studio, and how she, way back in the early 1990s, helped me start writing again after fifteen years of not putting pen to paper. For that, I am deeply grateful.

In the last three or four years, Lezlie has served as a different type of mentor for me. She is a creativity coach with a mission to guide “people to make the life and the art they born to create” and grow into the next best version of themselves—mind, body, and spirit.

Lezlie promotes a daily practice of giving thanks, setting intentions for the day ahead, and asking questions for which we do not currently have answers. She calls this time to reflect the TIA Method—thank, intend, ask. Now, she has a beautiful journal that explains the process in detail and provides a home for ninety days of practice.

Recently, I sat down with Lezlie and asked her a few questions about how she developed the TIA Method, who this is designed for, and what types of results might someone expect when practicing the TIA Method on a consistent basis.

I initially taped the interview, so I could later write a newsletter article, but I think Lezlie’s answers to my questions are far better than anything I could write, so I’ll let her tell you about this beautiful practice and journal that have become a regular part of my morning routine.

After you hear Lezlie talk about the TIA Method, I’m sure you’ll want to know more and possibly purchase a journal of your own. Her next TIA Method workshop is on Sunday, May 6 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Yoga Shala on Edgewater Drive in College Park. If you can’t make the workshop but would like to purchase a copy of the TIA Journal, you can do so from Lezlie’s store on Square.

I couldn’t wait to start writing in this beautiful book, so I now hold the title of the first person to finish her ninety-day TIA Journal. If you are intrigued about this journal and happen to live in Central Florida, consider signing up for Lezlie Laws’ upcoming TIA Method workshop.
