I’d say my word would be “meaningful”, but I still want to enjoy what I’m striving to accomplish. Maybe it’s partly because 2019 is going to be my 70th birthday year.
My road ahead is not as long as it used to be but still there are plenty of side trips to take that I’ll enjoy during that drive down the road.

HI, Leslie. Thank you for sharing your one word with us. “Meaningful” is a powerful word when you’re viewing life from years of living and knowing time is shorter than it used to be. The importance of certain things increases and matters more to us. I hope you find your side trips to be meaningful, and your road long still. Take care, Leslie.

Good for you, Leslie! Keep driving down the road, taking in the sites and making memories. Seventy is not the end, it’s just the beginning!

I’m not really a one word kind of gal. I’ve been asking around my compact circle of friends and gotten mixed results. Some say “funny” (not my favorite, I prefer ‘interesting’) and others say I am sarcastic. Others seem to think I’m a deep thinker, and still others say “loving.” So in my search for my one word, I think I’ll have to go with “ALIVE”. I want to go on alive, gathering memories, and living every day!

Hi, Judi. How wonderful that you polled your circle of friends to get feedback on a word that fits you. Settling on “alive” is perfect for you! I hope your word “alive” gives you the inspiration to live your best life this year and enjoy life in deep and rewarding ways.

My one word for 2019 is Continue. Roget’s defines it as a verb that also means persist, go, hold on, maintain, persevere, and stick, plus others. I want to continue to develop the story I’ve worked on sporadically for four year and complete it. ” Continue is my goal for daily exercise, good food, spiritual intake, new education, social uplifting, kindness, helpfulness, and emotional balance practiced with full awareness. Continue is a great mantra for 2019.

My goodness, Diane, “continue” is a good word for you! I don’t know how you came to choose it, but good job!
