We all have our favorite things. These items need not be expensive or valuable in worldly terms, but to us, they are priceless. We can’t imagine living without them. They may remind us of wonderful days gone by, provide comfort or make us feel beautiful.
So today, let’s write about a favorite thing from your childhood, a doll you carried everywhere, a baseball card, a good luck charm, a toy, anything you valued as a child. Describe the object in detail. Then explain your connection to it. How did it become your favorite thing? What did it mean to you? How did you acquire this prized possession? What ultimately happened to it? Why do you think it became so important to you? Ready? Set your timer for ten minutes. Go.
