A genealogical research trip in England and Scotland gave Robin the bug to continue researching her family history for the next twenty years. Her forthcoming book, They’re in My Blood, traces her family lines and their stories back to the 1600s.
“Twenty years ago, I began to research and visit my English and Scottish lines. I visited their towns and their homes. I discovered the official state libraries near where they lived. So, my first yellow pad is titled with their names, births, marriages, and deaths for families in England. I foolishly thought that would be it.
“Everyone is different in how they go about this. The more I wrote, the more enjoyable it became. One yellow pad turned into twenty, maybe more, over the years.”
