Well, it’s the year 2013, and we have to write about resolutions, those firm decisions we make at the start of each New Year. Yesterday, I heard about a holiday called Ditch New Year’s Resolutions Day, celebrated on January 17th, the most common date to give up commitments. The practice is common enough to have its own holiday. I thought that was funny.
But instead of focusing on our failures, let’s write about our successes today. What was a New Year’s resolution that you made in the past and actually kept? When did you make this resolution? What did keeping this resolution involve? How did you and/or others benefit from you adhering to this resolution? Write about resolutions that turned into life changes. Set the timer for ten minutes. Go!
