Today marks the first day of Spring. For many of us, that means it’s an opportunity to start fresh, to throw open the windows and allow nature to clear out the cobwebs. Because I live in Florida, I’m fortunate to have my windows open most of the winter. Nevertheless, as a symbolic gesture, every time Spring rolls around I always like to make time for a good Spring cleaning: scrubbing the spots that are often forgotten, taking care of chores I’ve been putting off. But most importantly, I like to clear out some of the clutter that’s built up over the last year by donating, selling, or tossing unnecessary items from my home.
What are three possessions that it is time for you to say goodbye to? Write for five minutes about each of these things and describe why it is time to let them go and how passing each item along will improve your life. And then after you’ve convinced yourself, get to it!
